Profile & Qualifications
I have been working within the fitness industry for 12 years now and qualified as a personal trainer with the YMCA in 2003. Since that time I have built up an impressive client base and worked with a range of individuals and groups, from children as young as 8 years to the elderly up to 98+ years!
Having worked within various small gyms as well as large leisure centres, I decided to set up Identity Fitness to offer more specialist Personal Training.
The majority of the larger gyms and leisure centres offer personal training to their members, but this to me was one of the biggest problems! The majority of the public could not bring themselves to even step foot in a big, busy gym, let alone join! The reasons for this is huge…. Individuals lack confidence due to their size, disability, age, gender, lack of knowledge.
Personal training is exactly what is says ‘Personal’. Large gyms not only lack the personal touch but rarely cater for individuals who sway from the ‘want to get fit and lose weight’ category!
At Identity fitness, as well as training those with sports specific fitness goals such as Triathlons I have also catered for clients with a number of different contra indications, including:

All sessions, whether group classes or individual PT sessions are designed to increase mobility, flexibility, co-ordination, posture and muscular strength and endurance, whilst taking into account individual goals and health contra-indications.
No two sessions are ever the same, ensuring variety, whilst challenging the body and increasing motivation!
